Sheet to Docs / Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

This policy explains how Sheet to Docs handles information when you use our website and Google Sheets add-on.

We use Google account data to provide the features you choose: generate documents, save files, personalize emails, and manage your subscription. We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising or training generalized AI models.

1. Information we access

2. Permissions and purpose

The add-on requests permission to work with the current spreadsheet, Google Docs and Drive, send mail on your behalf, read your account email, display its interface, and contact external services. The Drive permission is broader than a single selected file; the app’s features use the templates, folders, and generated documents involved in your workflow. The send-mail service does not read your inbox.

Document content and row values are processed by the add-on in Google Apps Script to perform your requested actions. Generated files remain in Google Drive. Recipient addresses, personalized messages, and attachments are sent through Google’s mail service when you click Send or send a sample.

3. Where information is stored

Preferences and your Stripe customer identifier are stored in Google Apps Script User Properties, separated by user. Spreadsheet-specific preferences are keyed to the spreadsheet. Generated file references and send history are stored in reserved columns in your sheet. Anyone with access to that sheet may be able to see those records.

Our static website does not ask you to sign in, access your Google files, or enter payment information. It uses no advertising trackers or analytics scripts. Vercel, our hosting provider, may process standard request information such as IP addresses, browser details, and request times to deliver and protect the website.

4. Service providers and sharing

Google provides the add-on runtime, file storage, and email delivery. Stripe processes checkout and subscription management. When billing is configured, the app uses your email address to find or create a Stripe customer and check subscription status, including before you buy a subscription. Card details are entered on Stripe’s checkout and are not collected by this website or stored in the add-on.

Spreadsheet row contents, generated document text, and attachments are not sent to Stripe or the static website as part of these features. We may share information when legally required, to protect the service, or with your authorization. If you email support, your message is handled by our email provider.

5. Google data commitments

Sheet to Docs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy and the Google Workspace user data and developer policy, including their Limited Use requirements. Access, use, and transfer of Google user data are limited to delivering and improving the user-facing features described in this policy. We do not transfer Google user data for advertising, data brokerage, or generalized AI training.

6. Retention and your choices

You control files and records in your Google Drive and Sheets and can delete them there. Removing the add-on or revoking its permissions does not automatically delete previously generated files, sent emails, sheet records, or billing records. You can revoke access through your Google account connections.

For help deleting retained app preferences, support information, or associated billing information, contact us. We may need to verify your identity and retain information required for legal, accounting, or security purposes. Email recipients may retain copies of messages and attachments you send.

7. Security and changes

We rely on Google, Stripe, and Vercel’s platform protections and limit processing to the service’s described functions. No online service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as the service changes; the date above identifies the current version.
